English for Heritage Language Speakers Scholarships - (EHLS Program) - #12.555

Scholarship awards are made to U.S. citizens with at least a bachelor's degree participating in the EHLS program. Scholarship recipients agree to seek employment with the U.S. federal government, and serve in a position for no less than one year. Scholarship can only be used to attend an EHLS Program. Currently, the program is administered at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. To qualify for the program, the awardee must be a U.S. citizen, a native speaker of a critical langauge with professional level proficiency, and possess advanced level proficiency in English.

Proof of U.S. citizenship and Bachelor's degree or higher. This program is excluded from coverage under OMB Circular No. A-87.

EHLS scholars are selected using a national peer-review panel process.
