Program Objectives

To strengthen the intellectual foundations of the humanities through the collaboration of scholars and the support of post-doctoral fellowship programs at independent research institutions.

Funding (obligations)

(Project Grants) FY 09 $11,754,752; FY 10 $12,312,000; FY 11 $11,680,000 - FY 09 obligations include additional funding provided by NEH Treasury matching grants and by We the People. See 45.168 PROMOTION OF THE HUMANITIES-WE THE PEOPLE.
