Program Objectives
To provide opportunities for the American public to explore human history and culture through humanities programs in museums, historical organizations, libraries, community centers, and other gathering places, as well as on public television and radio and/or other digital media.
Funding (obligations)
(Project Grants) FY 09 $17,790,357; FY 10 $15,616,000; FY 11 $14,750,000 - FY 09 obligations include additional funding provided by NEH Treasury matching grants and by We the People. See 45.168 PROMOTION OF THE HUMANITIES-WE THE PEOPLE.
