Nurse Anesthetist Traineeships - (NAT) - #93.124

To meet the costs of traineeships that will pay all or part of the costs of tuition, books, fees, and reasonable living expenses for the program for registered nurses to become nurse anesthetists for up to a maximum of 18 months of full-time study. Award recipients must have completed 12 months of study in a nurse anesthesia master's program. Restricted uses: Indirect costs and trainee travel are not allowed. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010 removed the “No more than ten percent of the traineeship funds under this section may be obligated for individuals in doctoral degree programs” restriction.




Applicants should review the individual HRSA funding opportunity announcement issued under this CFDA program for any required proof or certifications which must be submitted prior to or simultaneous with submission of an application package. This program is excluded from coverage under OMB Circular No. A-87.

All eligible applicants are considered in a formula for determined awards. Eligible applicants must meet all applicable Federal guidelines and/or graduates must be eligible for national nursing organization certification, and/or programs must meet other national organizational guidelines, as appropriate, in the nursing field of study.The applicant’s nurse anesthetist program must be accredited by the Council on Accreditation of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
